One-to-One Yoga Therapy

Yoga Therapy is the application of yogic practices and principles to support healing, symptom relief, and overall wellbeing. It works with the whole person - mind, body and spirit - gently guiding you back towards balance, resilience and a deeper sense of ease within yourself.

My work sits at the meeting point of spirituality and science, weaving together evidence-based practices with ancient wisdom. Rooted in Eastern philosophy and supported by modern neuroscience, my approach bridges the intuitive and the practical, the subtle and the grounded.

I draw on a range of teachings and techniques including movement, breathwork, meditation, mindfulness, self-enquiry, deep relaxation, sound, mantra and mudra. These are offered as tools to support your reconnection with yourself.

My work is intuitive and client-focused, with each session co-created and wholly informed by you, your experience and your intentions. I aim to hold a safe, open and compassionate space where you can arrive exactly as you are, and be met with care and presence.

“The sessions with Laura were transformative to a degree that I could never have expected. I have been doing talk therapy for some years and could not anticipate how complimentary, productive and insightful this added path would be. Laura is a profoundly intuitive and compassionate therapist with a zest and energy for life and her ability to both steer and let people express themselves is admirable. These sessions gave me a completely new relationship with my body, my self as a whole and a sense of self-expression and self-acceptance that I had never before felt in my life.”

- Yoga Therapy Client

Yoga Therapy can support healing and relief from a wide range of mental, physical and emotional health challenges. It offers a gentle, holistic approach to wellbeing, working with the whole person to restore balance and ease.

I primarily support women’s health and wellbeing, with a focus on conditions that often affect the nervous system, hormonal balance and emotional regulation. I have particular experience supporting people with:

  • Anxiety and chronic stress

  • Depression and low mood

  • Menstrual health concerns, including Endometriosis, Dysmenorrhoea and PMDD

  • ADHD and attention-related challenges

  • Insomnia and sleep difficulties

  • Trauma and nervous system dysregulation

  • Chronic pain and tension

  • While all yoga is indeed therapeutic, not all yoga is therapy. A Yoga Therapy session differs from a one-to-one yoga class by:

    • Looking at the whole person - body, mind and spirit - and selecting practices and techniques that will impact every layer of a person (known in Yoga Therapy as The Koshas)

    • Including lots of time for discussion, self-enquiry and reflection

    • Specifically tailored to working with health conditions, with Yoga Therapists undertaking many hours of training on how to work specifically with a wide range of health conditions

  • Sessions are completely tailored to you, your goals and your needs. We work closely together and I encourage lots of self-enquiry and self-reflection. This means that we can ensure that our work is continuously shifting and evolving to be of the highest value to you.

For example, in a session we might explore:

    • Increasing your sense of safety within your body

    • Breathing techniques to support a more functional breathing pattern

    • Regulating your nervous system and downgrading your fear response

    • Increasing your confidence and self-esteem

    • Increasing your tolerance to discomfort in a safe and supportive way

From there, the sessions can continue to grow and develop depending on your wants and needs.

  • A free initial 15-minute phone call (which can be booked above) - this allows me to get a better sense of what you're looking for and allows you to ask any questions you might have.

A new client agreement and detailed intake form - If we decide to go ahead with our work together, I will send you a new client agreement and an in-depth intake form to complete and return to me via email before our first session. The intake form helps me to understand your history and your goals in order to tailor sessions completely to you.

An initial 60 or 90-minute session - 90-minutes is recommended for the first session to allow time for a consultation and to introduce our work together.

  • Yoga Therapy sessions currently take place either online via Zoom, or in-person at Revive Yoga, Balham, SW12 9AN. I also occasionally work from spaces in Battersea and Kingston.

Please note that the therapy room at Revive is accessed by stairs only. If an accessible option is required please let me know.

  • Online sessions via Zoom:
    60 minutes - £60
    90 minutes - £80

    In-person sessions in Balham:

  • To get started, just book an initial free 15-minute discovery call via the Calendly widget above, or here. This call will give us an opportunity to chat about how we could work together and see if we would be a good fit.
